It took 81 days for 2008 to produce a good movie, and it comes in the form of an Adam Corrola comedy The Hammer. An average underdog sports film that has enough funny for the money. Adam Corrola is Jerry Ferro a 40 year old carpenter who loses his job and returns to the ring for a run at the Olympics. Knocking opponents out and running his mouth Corrola gives a surprisingly good performance, mainly because in real life like the movie he was a carpenter and an amateur boxer. This movie ran just the right amount of time for a comedy, had a nice romantic angle, and was consistenly funny. Oswaldo Castillo deserves a lot of comedy praise as well for his work here. Go out, have fun and enjoy The Hammer. B
